About Provision Studio


A fitness studio that offers a low-impact exercise program to provide you with the strength, flexibility, and muscle to build a stronger you for everyday life. Through our Pilates reformer class and cardio class, Accelerate, we offer a healthy combination of cardio and toning to create the perfect fitness balance.

Provision Studio owner Margaret Virden, originally from Montgomery, AL, fell in love with Pilates in college, taking classes all four years until she graduated and moved to D.C. She tried many different workout classes during her four years in D.C., but Reformer Pilates always remained her favorite. On weekends she began traveling to New York City to train at Pilates Academy International under world renowned instructors and educators. Margret is now a master instructor on all Pilates apparatuses. She eventually returned to the South to work in Starkville, MS, as a Pilates instructor and would go on to create Accelerate with Lacy Arant, owner of Midtown Pilates. Because Margaret is passionate about helping individuals transform their relationship with exercise and healthy living to find balance in life, she has now opened her own studio in Homewood, AL.

Kristy McKinney

Kristy's love for people, human movement, and fitness are the driving forces behind her being a leader in the health and wellness industry. She has over 13 years of experience as a group exercise instructor and received Pilates training through Stott Pilates and Balanced Body and is a PMA certified teacher. In addition to teaching Reformer and Accelerate classes, she also teaches privates, duets, and trios specializing in Scoliosis and Neuromuscular Disease.


Paige McClees

Paige is a nationally certified and trained Pilates, Barre and fitness instructor known for her energetic, motivating, and disciplined teaching style. Her innovative classes, motivating playlists, as well as her infectious love for health and fitness make Paige’s classes a perfect fit for fitness enthusiasts and beginners alike. Paige received her Bachelors of Science at Auburn University majoring in biomedical sciences. She continued her graduate education in Boston at MGH Institute of Health Professions where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. Paige currently is a practicing sports physical therapist in the Birmingham area. Paige is a native of Alabama where she developed a love for sports and fitness at an early age. She participated in competitive gymnastics for many years, and during college, Paige found an interest in recreational long distance running and group fitness classes spurring her career in health and fitness. She is certified in Classical Pilates, Barre, Lagree Method, as well as Piloxing and is passionate about helping others live a healthy and active life.


Annette Plaia

Annette, a Birmingham native, has her Comprehensive Pilates Certification and is certified in Mat, Reformer, Springboard, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Magic Circle, and TRX. Annette is an award winning gymnast and has always had a love for fitness. Using her background in gymnastics and cheer, she focuses on alignment and form to make sure clients are doing the exercise correctly.


Stuart Smith

Stuart, originally from Nashville, TN, grew up living an active lifestyle with a passion for all things health and wellness. After a month of taking Pilates classes, she was hooked and wanted to share its benefits with everyone! She began her Classical Pilates Education in early 2017 after graduating from The University of TN. Her degree in Therapeutic Recreation emphasized the importance of activity as a means of rehabilitation and remediation to help improve individuals overall quality of life. In conjunction to her Pilates training, Stuart completed the Mattes Method Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) training, which has been fundamental to her teaching practice. Stuart is fully certified in Mat and Reformer Pilates and is currently completing her Comprehensive Certification.


Lenora Christopher

Lenora began taking Pilates & Yoga classes in college and fell in love with the strength and flexibility these exercises created. She is a RYT 200 Certified Yoga Instructor and has been practicing yoga for over 8 years. She is also trained on the Bellicon Rebounder and our cardio classes. She works full time as a Senior Financial Analyst and enjoys teaching all types of exercises to help transform the body and get clients to use their muscles to the fullest potential.
