Pilates Reformer

Utilizing both classical and modern Pilates moves on the reformer, this class serves those looking to build strength, increase flexibility, and tone the entire body. Through slow and controlled movements, every muscle is targeted in a safe and low-impact manner. We offer small group and private classes to guarantee total guidance and support throughout the class.

Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is a low impact yet powerful workout. It uses your own body weight for resistance and focuses on small isometric movements to challenge your muscles and change the shape of your body.

Accelerate

Our challenging and low-impact cardio class focuses on building strength and burning fat. Accelerate is unmissable—it's the first and only class of its kind in the Birmingham area. By applying Pilates principles to our state of the art treadmills, rebounders, and spring board, we've developed a unique, upbeat circuit-training class guaranteed to burn those calories!

Mat Fusion

Mat Fusion utilizes your own body weight for resistance and is designed to raise your heart rate. It combines small isometric movements of Mat Pilates, Barre, and core conditioning work to challenge your muscles and change the shape of your body.

Treads

For those in search of a little extra cardio or simply looking to add a warm-up or cool down to a class, we offer the opportunity to secure our low-impact treadmills for 45-minutes sessions. Our woodway treadmills are the most luxurious treadmills on the market and provide the perfect beginning or end to a Reformer or  Accelerate workout.

Fusion

A mix between our Reformer and Accelerate classes, Fusion focuses on burning fat, building strength, and toning the entire body. It is designed to raise your heart rate and enhance your stability. Fusion utilizes the Pilates Reformer, Woodway Treadmills, and Bellicon Trampolines.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I arrive for class?

We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early for your first class. If you are not here when class starts, we may give your space to someone on the waitlist. If you know you’re going to be late, shoot us an email and we will try to get you into the next class!

What happens if I can't make a class I have signed up for?

All reservations must be cancelled six (6) hours before the class begins. If you cancel within this window or do not show up for class unlimited clients will be charged $10 and session clients will lose that session.

How will I know if I get in off the wait list?

You will receive an email! If you get into class from the waitlist, please confirm or remove yourself from the list.

Where do I park?

We have several reserved spaces right in front of the studio. If those are occupied, you can park in the rest of the parking lot, the gravel parking lot across Reese street, or the free street parking on Central Avenue!

What should I bring to class?

Feel free to bring your own towel and water. We have water to purchase in the studio for $2.

What should I wear for class?

For Pilates classes avoid pants that are too loose and flowy because class involves segments in which your legs are in the air. Most people feel more comfortable with spandex or compression shorts under their regular shorts.

I am pregnant. Can I still do the workout?

Please let us know if you are expecting. Pilates is one of the most suitable exercises for pregnant women since the Pilates method strengthens and tones the postural muscles that are used to carry the baby, help in delivery, and get you back in shape after the birth. Stengthening these muscles can make your labor easier, while strengthening the back and improving posture decreases risk of injury while carrying your baby. We offer a non-sweat, relaxing workout that you can do whether you’re one or thirty-one weeks pregnant. Accelerate can be modified as well for those that are expecting.

How can I become a Pilates Instructor?

Provision Studio serves as a satellite education center for Pilates Academy International (PAI,) located at Pilates on Fifth in New York City. We offer Pilates teacher training courses in all Pilates apparatuses (Mat, Reformer, Chair, Barrels, and Cadillac.) Please call for more information about becoming a trained Pilates teacher.
